What is Chefs Network ?

Run by Chefs and Cooks for Chefs and Cooks.

Chefs Network is a "brigade" of Chefs & Cooks working together in the best interests of our trade, and supporting those that choose to follow in our footsteps.Your collegues at Chefs Network are proud of their trade and skills, and want to help you maintain and increase your skills in a safe and pleasant work environment. We want you to use your potential to the fullest and maximise the enjoyment of your work, and through that encourage a high standard of professionalism.
 
 
ChefsNetwork Mission Statement
 
To promote and increase professionalism amongst Chefs, Cooks, Apprentices and other Hospitality workers. To always act in the best intersts of them, and the long term future of our trade.
 
 
Programs
 
We are currently actively working on the following programs. Please let us know of your support, concerns or suggestions. Or feel free to suggest other areas that may benefit from Chefs Network input.
 
K.E.T.T.L.E. program. Knowledge Easing The Transition from Learning to Earning. If you would like an industry experienced Chefs Network executive comittee member to come to your school or college, and talk about the hospitality industry, let us know.
 
C.A.K.E. program. Chefs Apprentice Knowledge  Enhancement is now operating. "Swap" your your apprentice for another, so that both can gain experience and knowledge, in different work environments. You, them, and our industry, will benefit from their enhanced knowledge and skills. Send us an email for further details.
 
"The Code of New Apprentice Cooks Best Employment Practice" will be launched on Tuesday 30th May 2006. If you would like to be present at the launch of the most important document Canberra`s hospitality industry has ever seen then let us know and we will send you an invitation. Don`t say you weren`t asked.

SAFE Food Handling Training, for ALL food handlers.

The Tourism & Hospitality Occupational Health & Safety Induction Program, has now been finalised and will be rolled out over the next few months.
